Quality management

Based on the key strands of our corporate principles we aim to achieve customer satisfaction and success by providing products and services typified by quality, high performance, technical advances and the best possible business benefits.

The quality management system that we practice is described on the basis of the ISO TS 16949 standard in our quality management manual and is binding on the entire Simon Group. We gear the entire way in which we run our processes on good relationships with our customers designed to last for as long as possible, coupled with endeavours to constantly improve our performance.

A key factor in such relationships is our highly motivated workforce. In addition to industry expertise, social responsibility is increasingly playing an important role here. Confident employees who think and act in an entrepreneurial way are a prerequisite for high quality.

Our suppliers too are an important building block in the overall process of meeting our customers’ quality demands and expectations. It is therefore important to select suppliers systematically, to help them develop further where necessary and to integrate them at an early stage into our processes.

Our primary quality objective is: ‘Zero defects’

We aim to achieve this self-imposed standard by implementing our quality control policy:

Environment

In using and working with energy, raw materials and supplies, we are conscious of our responsibility to the environment. Through proactive environmental management we therefore contribute to the preservation of an intact environment both today and for future generations.

The way in which all of our employees plan and act is based on responsibility for the environment. As in all areas of the business everything we do in this respect is geared to constant improvement. Planning and operating in an ecologically aware manner means for us that in all environmentally relevant decisions and activities based on statutory or regulatory requirements the following factors are considered: avoid, minimise, recycle, discuss.

We are constantly improving our environmental management system, which is based on ISO 14001. The basis for this ongoing improvement is the implementation of our environmental policy:

We also ensure that while at our company all visitors and external firms adhere to our environmental standards.
