Profile

Siku, near Lucerne in Switzerland, was set up in 1974 as a manufacturer of injection moulded plastic parts. Initially Siku operated primarily as a supplier to the furniture industry. Later the company also specialised in the field of electroplated plastics and gained increasing experience and market share in injection moulding complex automotive parts, predominantly for the car’s interior. Siku has also continued to develop on the furniture front and now produces high quality, technically sophisticated assemblies for functional damping systems. Siku also forms a practically ideal extension for the metal working companies of the Simon Group.

The company works with all standard strengthened and non-strengthened thermoplastics, above all PA, PA–GF, ABS, PC-ABS, POM and PEEK plastics. Siku runs 27 injection-moulding machines with a closing force of 15 to 430 tons and injection volumes of up to 220cm³. Fitted with fully automatic handling equipment and operated on a 4-shift system, they guarantee cost-efficient, top quality production. In addition to the furniture and automotive sectors, Siku also produces parts for medical industry.
