Tungsten carbide is produced from wolfram carbide and cobalt. Wolfram carbide is one of the toughest materials around. However, it is also brittle. Combined with soft cobalt a material is produced that is very hard and resistant to wear and can also withstand extreme impacts.
We use first-class raw materials in order to guarantee top sintering results. We procure wolfram carbide and cobalt primarily from Europe. The expensive but high quality material is the basis for the premium standard of our studs.
The grade of tungsten carbide is matched in respect of how it wears to the rubber compound used by the individual tyre manufacturers.
